I don't often post but lately I have been increasingly dissatisfied with my decision to buy into Meridian and this seems to be a prime example of why.

Meridian are aware of this issue. An issue it seems, albeit perhaps just from my frustration rather than fact, has left the plugin unusable more than it has been usable since it was released.

Meridian should have been aware of this issue from this forum and they have been notified of the issue by dBpoweramp themselves, who have yet to receive a response, who with what little they have contributed have managed more than Meridian have themselves. This simple fact speaks volumes I feel.

I was also under the impression, and please correct me if I am wrong, that prominent members of this forum have also raised this issue with Meridian themselves. For a Meridian representative to suggest that there merely might be a problem as opposed to there actually is a problem would indicate that at best Meridian have communication problems and at worst, well perhaps I shouldn't go there. I think, perhaps unfairly, that this is a poor reflection on the relationship between this forum and Meridian.

Plugin issues aside, as this plugin wasn't even on my radar when I purchased into the Sooloos ecosystem, I guess why this issue bothers me so much is that at least from my perspective the plugin circumvented the issue overriding metadata on import. This is a feature that was part of Sooloos when I purchased it and as best I can tell has never worked not only for me but a significant number of others.

As an aside I feel myself increasingly agreeing with 3dit0r and increasingly concerned over the responses that he has been getting which largely strike me as overly defensive of Meridian and needlessly hostile in intent. This attitude I am sad to say is perhaps why I choose not to post more often which is a shame. However I will not mention it further here as it is probably best left to another thread.

Cheers,

Tony.
