Well... very strange...
The listing (somewhat predictably ) ended early.
However, the seller also listed PRS private stock guitar, which for those of you that know guitars, has a considerable value. Starting price of 500 but certainly worth a few thousand.
I bid but currently the seller has cancelled OVER 40 bids!!
Hmm...
Shame I quite fancied that!

Splendidly enough, looks like the winning guitar bidder was in it to spring the scammer... Feedback for the guitar 'purchase' Cheers George

Well spotted George!.
so ...maybe the DSP8000's we're indeed in the USA as well?
Not Edinburgh ...or even Spain, where most of his recent feedback seems to come from!

eBay - 861v4 Whilst the photo in the heading may be of the 861 for sale, the photos in the description are not, as these are identical to photos used by Reuben to sell an 861v4 on HiFi Wigwam. This is a warning to fellow HH that the cards shown in the description photo may not be the same as in the item for sale. It would be best to check with the seller first. Mat

Hi all, Just had a really bad experience with darkside2014 on eBay, beware!! This guy from Barnstable had 3 pieces of Meridian kit up for sale, a 518 processer which I successfully won, a 500 transport and a 566 DAC which other bidders won. Paid for the item within 24 hours, no communication for over a week on the delivery, which he then apologised for and told me he had despatched. Stil no goods and after raising a case in the resolution centre again apologised profusely and offered me a next delivery if I would still like the item. I agreed and yet again no communication and no goods! A final strongly worded email threatening civil action got me a full refund with no explanation - almost 3 weeks after receiving my payment. He has then relished all 3 items!! Not sure what game he is playing, but lets try and keep these idiots off the web. Links below to the current sales: Meridian 500 Meridian 566 Meridian 518 Thanks Lee

Lee,
Is the -1 feedback yours; if not may I suggest you add feedback?
Words fail me with this type of behaviour, well only those that are acceptable.

I suspect the seller didn't get the price they wanted and pulled the auction after close.
Looks like a 'disposable' username to me so the only thing they lost was the listing fee and a bit of time to setup a new username.
Not the way to do things. That's what reserves are for.

yes that's me..
I agree about the price thing, you use eBay and you take your chance and eBay should come down hard on guys like this but never so.
Lets just hope potential sellers make the link and steer clear - he might get 25 if lucky which would be a result...

Excellent, that's made my day.
Can you believe there are new bids on these items though!
