Dudamel is fantastic. I am sure you are right, I will investigate and add your recommendation to my library. I love the attitude, talent and performances of the young musicians of SBSO of Bolivia. A success story that deserves even greater publicity.

Just found Jeff beck rock 'n' Roll party honouring les Paul. With Imelda may, Darrel Higham, Brian Setzer, Gary us Bonds, & trombone shorty.
It's a live concert with great 50's 60's feel.
Well worth a listen for rock and roll fans, fantastic vocal harmonies (Beverly sisters style).
Another great charity shop punt.

Belcea Quartet complete Beethoven Quartets, available in 24/96 from qobuz for �47,98 total. (It's �90 from Linn.)

Beautiful sound, great playing. One of the best modern cycles.

Talking of Qobuz, it's worth keeping an eye out for mispricings. I also just got Steve Reich Music for 18 Musicians (ECM) for �1,29 and Feldman "Violin and Orhcestra" (also ECM) for �1,73, in 24bit.

Last year I discovered Olafur Arnalds, Lorde and London Grammar. It's been a fantastic year for music.

Last year, I very much enjoyed the new albums from David Bowie, Haim and the Arctic Monkeys although these were all MP3s through headphones. I haven't worked out how to listen to my Google Play subscription through the main system yet.

I also finally tracked down a reasonably priced copy of the CD Sang Melee by Eddie Louiss which had been recommended to me. This sounded awful on the F80 but great on the big M system.

Have you heard Multicolor Feeling Fanfare by him. A very different album. Big Band meets Jazz meets world music.

I�m a big fan of Shostakovich and I also love choral stuff and I can whole heartedly recommend his 10 folk songs and 10 poems. It�s not as heavy as most of his work so if you like choral music but not Shosty it�s still worth a listen.

Also worth a listen is Bohuslav Martinu�s Gilgamesh. I often wonder why he�s such an underrated (or relatively unheard of) composer.

For me, in 2013 I discovered London Grammar, Steven Wilson & Agnes Obel. Some fantastic finds and my music collection is the richer for it.

Just discovered Dean Peer!!! Recently headlining at CES. Killer base tracks wow and harmonics you won't believe, this guy can play. I respectfully suggest that you listen to the album "Airborne" but take care with the volume.
Albums are expensive in UK but more reasonable from USA/Canada sources.

Agnes Obel "Philharmonics" is a superb double album. Glad you found this great artist. Search out Dean Peer "Airborne" the quality of this recording goes straight into my top ten of all time for technical content and reproduction quality. Content may not be everybody's cup of tea but it immediately justifies the expense on M equipment.
