So I make out of this that updating the OS on pre-Air pads is resulting in some flaws on the app and when using the latest Air pad the app works without flaws. The flaws are said probably due to processor and memory of the "old" pads and might be solved in future by an updated app.
Well I don't need an updated OS, no issue for me I guess. Or wait for Santa.

I now also use an iPad Air with the latest iOS. Works fine so far. Haven't had any troubles.

Just because I wrote that I haven't had any problems it started. My buttons has also started to dissaper. Sadly.

Try re booting the iPad or close some apps fully. Chris

Since updating to IOS7 I have found the +/- buttons for the volume keep disappearing.This is rectified by deleting the core control app and re-installing as Chris suggests.
I'd rather have editable Metadata on the iPad though, rather than this bug being fixed as an idea of its priority :-)

Deleting the app? I just shut the app down completely and then restart it.
It's irritating but doesn't happen too often, thankfully.

I agree with Ludwig. No need deleting and reinstalling. Just close it and relaunch it. It works fine.
