The iscan ultra will not accept, or rather will not scale progressive or hi-def inputs, it will just pass through the signal.


Firstly how are you going into the projector?

Also have you got bi-level or tri-level sync options on the PJ and the iscan, if these are not matched it could cause an over or under bright image.

I would reset the iscan to factory, only adjust resolution on it, save the settings and never touch it again.
Do all your tweaking on the projector, the iscan will have been calibrated at the factory pretty well. This also applies to your DVD player and any other source you have going into the iscan.
