A sony WP10HT, Meridian 598, iSCAN ultra,

I am trying to get these three calibrated and cannot find a dealer who knows all three so I guess the beauty of the forum has to be addressed.

A little history :
The Meridian only sends a component signal to the iSCAN if progressive is switched off in the Meridian.
The projector calibration seems to be either too dark or too light adjusting from the iSCAN
Do i adjust the projector and ignore the iSCAN settings but use fine detail only ?
What seeting do i select from the Sony so i can adjust the iSCAN, people say make the sony a panel only ??? I know how to get to factory setting but not sure what to do ?
