Well "E AMP" aligns with at least half a dozen guesses here, so this lego photo appears to confirm that

It clearly carries the admonishment "Never use ampersands" along its facia, as a warning to all.

I'm worried that being a new product from Meridian the old 'legacy' headphone sockets will be replaced by new 'HeadLink' sockets which, of course, only work with the new Meridian mains powered DSP headphones.

'HeadLink'... brilliant. We'll get Robert on to a Reviver MkII straight away.

What about those in-ear hearing chips? Could we go wifi direct to cochlea? Hi-res of course wink

Whatever sort of "e amp" it is (Swanee Whistle amp?), I do hope it goes up to 11...

It isn't a Revox-style reel to reel tape machine is it?

I am going (hoping) with Zone Amp or Zone pre-amp, with a headphone plug. It looks pretty small to be a zone amp. A stereo pre-amp with XLR outs and a SpeakerLink input would be excellent!

You beat me to it by minutes. Given the latest Distributor3, it would make sense.

If this forum had a like button, I would metaphorically (rather than literally) be hammering it.

1000, with a SpeakerLink input to run a MS200, that would be grand (pun intended).

"E AMP" is clearly part of headphonE AMPlifier.

Hopefully the amplifier has both digital (USB and optical/coax) and analog inputs, and hopefully it has variable analog and digital outputs, so that it can connect to both regular loudspeakers and Meridian's own DSP Active loudspeakers. But I'm not counting on the latter, since it would cut into sales of the AC200.
