The RS232 on the SpeakerLink connector starts to make more sense if that's the case.

I always get a warm fuzzy geek feeling when people actually design and implement protocols with future use and extendability in mind; rather like many of the Internet protocols. blush

The Meridian Comms in its self is pretty powerful so it could be done in a number of ways.

Either RS232 or by Meridian Speaker Comms it is forward thinking about the interfaces which were enabled on SpeakerLink when it was first introduced.

It looks like the USB port is on the back, next to the serial port.

Doesn't read like that to me. But then I saw radio on front and thought tuner.

Config can be done via soft keys on front. That's my interpretation.

Yes, but I think the speakers will need new firmware to offer this feature, so not quite yet.

Ah, hadn't spotted that the PROCESSOR was limited to 6 channels regardless of what MMHR can do. That still leaves a clear distintion with the 861v6/8 then.

It's that distinction that will stop me upgrading my G61 to the G65, which I probably otherwise would have done.

Here is the data sheet from Martins. Interesting that the layout is different then what is on their site.

I noticed the same on Duncan's site, i.e. the back panel is a different layout. It is over a month old though!

Hope this comes along soon! Delighted that this has come to pass, it's been a perennial on wish lists for years and will quite simply make the system(s) look like system(s) and give a finished look too.

Nice one M
