I've been running iOS 7.02 for a few days now. Core Control seems to behave better on this version of the OS. But, I do still have the disappearing button problem on occasion. For example, this just happened:

Note how the area where the Play All Tracks and Play Pick Tracks buttons normally are is replaced by a black square.
