Hi folks

I couldn't find a working solution in this thread.

I just ripped 18 albums with the dBpoweramp plugin. Everything worked fine and there was no issue.

But when starting the backup process in Control:PC there are only 3 Albums for import. All others are not listed. When selecting the defined subfolder of an missing album I get the message: "Please chose a valid backup folder for restore".

I can't find any difference between the working and not working albums.

What I'm doing wrong?

Thank you!

It was already a clean folder.

Or do you mean every rip in a new folder?

Being a numpty.

First go at ripping a CD using the Meridian plug in.

How do I get the track naming right? FLAC encoder is currently set to "[artist] - [year] [album]\[track] [title]". This has always worked OK.

The Meridian plug in seems to want to call all my tracks "title01", "title02" etc. I can see the CD ripper creating the tracks with the right titles (eg "01 Tookah" then the plug-in overwrites the names.

I've tried unticking the track name option in the AMG pop up but this seems to make no difference.

I end up with a bunch of zero byte FLAC files with the right names, and the actual FLAC files are all as above.

Oh, and when I do import the newly created FLAC album it shows up as "Lossy"...

Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.

Have you tried "restore" instead of "import"? I believe That should do the trick...

Sorry, I meant restore. Restore of the album showed up as lossy and not CD.

I have to admit I was underwhelmed with the plug in. Needs a little work on the functionality I think. No reason why it should need to have the track01.FLAC etc listing when it already has the metadata.

You need to realise that your files in Sooloos are stored that way. So, the plugin is just aligning to that for restore. HOWEVER, the metadata for the tracks will be as you entered in dBpa.

You should not be getting lossy. This means you have something set wrong.

Can you post a screen shot of your setup in dBpa?

Clutching at straws a bit...

As you aren't using >1 encoder I suggest reverting to the standard setup as per M's guide.

Your location looks unusual. Not sure if the system expects something more like artist/album/title

Try it without replay gain also. Not sure if that might affect things.

Assume you have nothing in the DSP tab currently?

I'm confused, and perhaps a bit thick...

What are the benefits of the plugin?

Hah! I'll be honest, I read the first 2 pages, but like so many online discussions it appeared to go in several different directions. Much of it was above my head normally, but even more so, as I'm pretty sick right now frown

I don't see anything clear on the Meridian site or here that clearly states what the purpose is.
