My 8ks are roughly 60 pairs 'younger' than the pair you are considering, and date from September 2003, so I'd guess 2003 manufacture for those too.

Thanks Mr Meridian.Actually it is my friend who considering the 8Ks.Once he take them,i may have a chance to considering his DSP5200s.

There's something fishy about this ad.. The DSP 6ks have green stickers meaning for UK voltage, if I am correct..

There's a set of DSP5k5s on Craigslist that looks a bit fishy. Can't quite put my finger on why though...
Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.

A week ago there was an eBay.com an auction for a pair of 861v6 and 808.3. Pair closed at approx 9900 USD. I was second bidding and after a day I received a second offer possibility.
Seller had decent feedback on eBay and everything seemed fine, even though I was very skeptical due to the price.
I communicated with him perhaps 20 emails during a few days and after some investigation I was sure this is a scam:
1. No name in any emails
2. I got a telephone number and found on the web that it belongs to a Leo XXXXX. Later he said his name to be Leo YYYYY.
3. No photos of the actual units
4. No address
5. Just an email address xxx@aol.com
6. When I received an invoice to pay, only contact info was an email address. No name, no address, no telephone number...... nothing!
I asked for some proof that he actually has both units, and he refused.
I decided not to pay. As usually is said: What seems to good to be true, most like is a scam.
So folks, be very careful out there! Seller was based in San Diego. Perhaps it was an identity theft while sellers feedback was fine.

I have seen those pictures before. The RED sticker is the US voltage yet the person selling the speakers is in England.
What gives?..

The cable hanging above the speaker in pic 9 is also a US plug. Not the kind of thing you find in Edinburgh very often.

Looks suspicious but if you pay through PayPal and they don't arrive then they will refund you straight away so how can this work?
What you'd do with 115 volt speakers is another matter.
