After a lot of heart searching. I finally decided to sell my faithful 500 transport. This was completely serviced by Chris earlier this year, including brand new laser and drawer mechanism. The rest is in flawless condition.
It is a true classic which has rarely been be bettered. I am selling because I have moved almost entirely to digital media and I have a couple of other CD sources too.

You are both right of course, it's a true icon, but I cannot get any interest in my G91DH which am practically giving away, so I figured lets try something else.

It would also be worth letting prospective buyers know which version, ie is the serial number a 1xx, 2xx or 3xx.

From memory, as I haven't got my records with me but, I know it's an original mk2 player a 3 beam model with a 12.4 mech.
This is the more desirable model with the balanced digital output.
Huw's unit had a new laser. Drawer main loom and a full drawer and laser mech re-grease.

Now sold to a fellow HH, I think it has a very good home and it's outstanding performance much appreciated. Yes sad to see it go but have to sell sometimes, not just buy which has been my penchant these last two years.
Still have some other good gear to sell (already posted) including a G91DH.
