my equipment is in a boring old Middle Atlantic rack. i can't say i've ever seen "narrow" racks that are as wide as the M stuff. and if you upgraded to an 861 or 800 you'd be toast with a narrow rack [Linked Image from softronix.com].

fwiw, imo, i don't buy the spikes and isolation stuff for digital M signals that are being reclocked at every juncture. ymmv, of course.
