I bought an audiocontrol MP-200 measurement microphone and preamplifier. This is more than suitable for RC purposes. It cost me 350 dollars and another 80 for import duties into Belgium.

As for the SPL meters, I have both the analogue and digital versions. The analogue version is a radioshack one which I bought in the US and the digital one is made by Sphynx, but obviously, Tandy, Sphynx, Radioshack and what have you, don't differ from each other. They both feature a RCA out. The correction files that do exist apply to both versions.
