Meridian Unplugged - Powered by MrTechGuy.co.uk Forums Restaurant at the End of Universe Hitchhikers - Meridian Equipment WTB: 518, 115V

Hey everyone,

Still in the market for a 518, 115V. Looking for a pristine, well taken care of unit with original accessories and original manual. Original packaging, even better.

There is one currently listed here on the forum, but I haven't been able to get a response from the seller.

Thank you for the responses,
Adam

It may be of interest, to know that the 518 has a simple linear power supply; it can be converted from 230 to 115 or visa versa very easily by changing the connections on the transformer:-

Parallel primaries = 115v
Series primaries = 230v

If you can solder it's a simple enough job.
A local repair shop could do it for you in about 20 minutes.

All the best,

Steve.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the tip. I will keep this in mind.

Hi Adam,

Try Stereo Design in San Diego. They have one listed on their used list. A former Meridian Premier Partner and very reputable. Don't be afraid to "make an offer".

Ken

Thanks for the lead Ken.
