Hi All,

Without getting into the long story as to why, the ribbon cable which connect my DSP8000 to it's back panel ripped.
Fortunately, this doesn't effect audio. However, I would obviously like to fix it.

In order to do so, all I thought I had to do was replace the IDC 2x5 pin connector.
I tried that and can't get it to work.

Basically, the IDC has 10 pins, and the ribbon cable has 9 wires. I lined it up with the ground on the connector and cable, and I have the empty pin adjacent to the ground, but it doesn't work.

Is this right? Should the empty pin be adjacent to the non ground end wire? Does Meridian have a non-standard 2x5 connector?

While I fortunately don't have to interrupt the use of my system, this prevents me from retyping the speaker, or troubleshooting if something occurs. Also it looks nicer.

Any suggestions?
