Actually I considered the 8000s already but found the 7200s to have a more detailed soundstage when the speakers are less than 4 meters apart. Setting them further apart changes the game again. The 8000s have the bottom end in both situations, no doubt.

The Anniversary system on the other hand is another story, it is much better. Once Meridian is bringing the upgrades to the regular versions or if I should place the speakers further than 4 meters apart, I'll consider going with the 8000s.

That was not my experience, I prefer everything about the 8k's, I was using 7200's before I got the 8k's and I still have them so I guess all bases are covered.

Hi Mr Meridian,

I guess my 800v4 has exactly this issue... It cannot power up, it keeps click click click... and the display blink a few times.

Then I unplug the connection from the switching power supply to the control board, and measured the voltage at the pin of the power supply, it gives a 5.2 reading.

However when I measure the voltage at the control borad input and output, it is almost zero volts.

I wonder, how do I make the adjustment?

also the red light at the 800 Switched Mode PSU Board is flashing..

After I fix it, I too would like to take a look the option for a linear PSU, and where I can get it from?
