The 12V trigger out on the back of the G68 says 100mA. The owner's manual refers to the trigger out as "12VDC/100mA configurable by source". Now, my Krell amp's 12V trigger in says 30mA max. Does this mean there's an incompatibility of some sort? Is the mA output of the G68 adjustable down to 30mA as suggested by the statement "configurable by source"?

I read further in the manual and found that all triggers can be set as "high" or "low" for each source key, i.e. configurable by source. There is no mention of the mA value for "high" or "low". Anyone know?

No problem... You can use the 12V trigger from the G68 to your Krell amp. The 100mA for the G68 is the specification for how mutch "power" the G68 can deliver on the 12V trigger output socket. And the 30mA is the specification for how mutch the Krell is "using" at maximum. So in other words, the G68 can control up to 3 Krell (3 * 30mA = 90mA) at the same time on one single 12V trigger output.

The "high" and "low" is 2 other words for "on" and "off"... hope that helps...

Remember: check the polarity (power/ground)on the G68 vs. the Krell...!

Regards.

Thanks,

I've connected the trigger cable and it's working fine with the G68 set at "high". In fact, I double checked the 30mA rating and saw that it actually applies to the Krell's trigger OUTPUT. My mistake.

I'm using Marantz MA 500 monoblocs, does anyone know the trigger voltage on those? I have tried to ask Marantz but no reply!

Many thanks

Pete
