I type in "virtualMSR" in the search box and get no results. Is it currently available only in the UK?

It's definitely available from the German app-store.

I just downloaded the app (search MSR) and it's on my iPad. The little box you need is available from smarthome.com for around one hundred bucks.

Would also like an app setting to replicate the high-pitched whine from MSR+ - I've become used to it ... Not!
I think that the high-pitched whine is actually coming from some MSR users.

Asa Post Maybe, but it is in addition to the MSR+ not instead. Russ

Apple users be aware though that the IP2SL setup software is WINDOWS only, no OSX Mac version, just like the Sooloos config software.
Hi Geoff,
Unless you hit problems, there is absolutely no configuration required for the IP2SL.
Just connect it to your network and Meridian component, and the vMSR app will find and configure it automatically.
Cheers,
Rick

The thing about "catching" the IP address so it doesn't have to search each time may not be necessary, but it makes the whole thing much quicker.

Are the Global Cache the same units that iRule uses? How much are they? Edit: I once looked at iRule but the idiot manufacturers did an exclusivity deal here in Australia which meant you had to pay an installer to build and modify, whereas I would rather do it myself like everyone else in the world.

Is the connection from Global Cache IP2SL to the RS232 on 861 via a Null modem cable or regular serial cable?
