I have a few questions about my Meridian 588 and 502.
1- What are the output impedances (both balanced and single ended) of the 588 and the balanced input impedances of the 502? I have really tried to find this data with no luck.
2- Both devices are connected via a Meridian control cable. 502 setup is Type 1 and I have two different MSR controllers. No matter which of them I use, each time I press the skip buttons, the 588 skips 2 tracks. How should I set both devices so they work properly? I really like the convenience of having both devices connected.
3- My 588 is running software v1.3. Does upgrading to v1.3.2 brings any significant improvement? When a disc reach the end and play stops, sometimes I hear an audible buzz as if the disc was spinning. Is there any solution to this?
Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Re 2: Your system is bahaving as if you have two controllers - ie 2 machines responding to IR commands. You should have only one controller in the setup.
You can either manually set one as controller and the other as non controller, in which case you need to refer to the manuals, or, try the following: In standby, press clear on the MSR remote. One should respond as CONN, the other as NCON. If both units are set to auto controller configuration, the default, problem should be solved.
