Hi All
Got fed up of hard reboots so have done nothing for the past 3-4 weeks. Just checked and previous evident doubles have disappeared. Maybe the issue is resolved.

I've not had any duplicates for quite a while now.
My Kit: 861v8+ID41, 800v4, UHD722, MD600, MS600, MS200, Oppo BDP-203, Genesis 201, Genesis 350 SE, Genesis S4-8 Sub, BG 520i, VTL MB450 II, Krell Showcase 7, Genesis 928 Subs, Danley DTS10 sub, SVS Ultra 16 subs.

My Control:Mac still has doubles, but I haven't rebooted for a while.
Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.

Hi again,
I also use Control:Mac and "Captain Beefheart" is the check sum on this issue and has always been duplicated with album "Trout Mask Replica" soon after reboot.
Last viewed 3 to 4 weeks ago it was doubled, no Trout Mask Replica Replica now.
I know it sounds fishy however Strange but True.

So is it now safe to install version 2.394? I have been resisting so far.

The jury is still out on this until more users report their experiences here.
I would wait for more reports or an official statement from M.

Interestingly (or not!) I have yet to see the duplicate album problem on my system (MC600) hopefully I haven't just cursed my position with this post!
(I keep on thinking I have it but then realise it is just an album that has a bonus CD or double CD etc.)

15 pages of posts regarding doubles seems to be enough data points to say 2.394 has a major flaw.
I say don't upgrade if you haven't yet.

That's a bit harsh, a bug yes and M should sort it ASAP. A major flaw for me would have to affect sound quality or important functionality.

So is it now safe to install version 2.394? I have been resisting so far. This bug is irritating but not catastrophic. But then I've not noticed any significant improvement in the system since installing 2.394. However they could be subtle "improvements" rather than dramatic ones so yes, hang off installing it unless someone can point out a really good reason to do it. The power supply here blipped the other night so Sooloos shutdown and I left it that way overnight. Re booted next morning but 24 hours later no duplications have appeared on either Control:PC or the iPad. But that does not mean they will not again multiply over the next few days. It really does not bother me now I've taken a break from editing as it does not hamper listening. John
