Certainly you'll get some kind of optical combing wink

When you've got as little hair as I have, you'd pay good money for optical combing.

Four candles should do it.

Can't find in the specs whether they are 16mm bulb depth or 24mm bulb depth. That extra you get at 24 is very important you know.

I was ready to start switching from CFL to LED but a friend that did it first gave me boxes of an assortment of CFL's (many brand new) so I may wait a little longer.

I have tried some LED's and I was not thrilled with them. Ones rated "warm" felt awful cool/harsh.

I like Warm light and some CFL's are not too bad in giving off warm light.

They certainly don't last nearly as long as predicted and I'm worried about spending high prices on LED's that might not last either or greatly improve over the next couple years.

Since many of us are trying to be greener, tossing dozens of CFL's that work in the the recycle center is about the least green thing you can do.

There are two places I still use incandecent. Over food when eating (food just looks bad under CFL) and in the bathroom mirror, maybe it's more accurate but it's just depressing smile. Everywhere else I have CFL's.

I can deal with the delay.

LED is great in a bathroom, a clear white light perfect for SWMBO to apply some slap.

I've just installed Apple Hue (lamps manufactured by Philips, Zigbee lighting standard) in my train room for scenery lighting. Although lamps are pricey ($60/bulb USD), I envision expanding to several rooms thru the house to create different ambience scenes. Color changing, WiFi/web controlled, dimmable, 600 lumen, equivalent to 50w incandescent, and 8w each.

How do you like them? Are they bright enough? Just curious, I was going to try them, but I figured I would wait until someone had more experience with them first.
