Hi Carl, glad you noted that. Suggested it to HQ a couple of weeks back also.

Except I don't think it is true, sorry. I only have the MD600 (so storage and core in the same unit) and I get doubling on both the iPad and ControlPC.

Hi Simon,

Thanks for info, that somewhat puts a spanner in my theory. However, it still may be relevant that doubling is more prevalent on remote stores.

Are there any other Hikers with only a single combined store / core that have this problem?

I hope Meridian release a patch soon.

Regards
Carl

Wow this is a mystery!!!

As reported some time ago I was getting quadruplets on Album display using Control:PC but never had anything odd on C10 or the iPad.

However with backups and exports Control:PC has not been accessed very much in the last 2 weeks and, at the moment displays are normal. Note that Sooloos has been powered up and connected to the net nearly all this time.

About the only odd thing that has occurred lately has been a confusion in the network as posted in another thread - something which required a reboot of the router and the whole system. But whether or not that caused the doubling etc to cease is doubtful.

I'm back to some further ripping and editing again so it will be fascinating to see if the problem recurs.

Yeah, sorry. Interesting though that I have yet to see anything more than just doubling. Seems like some folks are getting many more multiples.

Hi everybody

I have noticed that I don't have different number of covers on albums that have been in the system since this problem started. In some albums I have over 20 copies and in some albums I have just under 20 copies.

Any good ideas why that happens?

I added an album on the Nov 1 and now have 8 copies.

Best regards, Per Nilsson, Sweden

Yes, I am getting multiples using just a MC200 (plus ID40 in 808.3).

Whilst amusing to start with, this has being going on so long now that Meridian really ought to be rolling out a fix or at least reverting to previous firmware.

On an iPad, the album view is OK as discussed previously, however, when using an iPod Touch to use Sooloos, one has to use the Artist view and seeing 10 plus copies of the same album is not useful.

That is a mystery. I wonder if you actually have a different issue Simon. Have you rebooted and found the issue comes back and stays at 2x covers ?

Nick:

I have done a full reboot of the MD600 a few times, and behaviour is inconsistent. The first time I did a reboot, doubles were banished for a couple of weeks while only using Core Control on iPad. Recently, with my 861v6 in the shop, I have been using Control:PC thru headphones, and following a full reboot doubles were back almost immediately. As I said, I have never gone beyond doubles though.

I'd doubt mine is a different problem, but perhaps the problem is affected by multiple variables (i.e. storage separate from core, use of Control:PC / Control:Mac vesus iPad, solar flares, etc?).

Bottom line is that it would be good for Meridian to supply a patch/revision sooner rather than later - although perhaps they too are finding the issue a bit thorny.

Simon

Just the MC200 here, but the doubling phenomenon reached a perfect 10 last night!

Hi everybody

Sadly I had to reset my core last evening. The max count I was planning for will restart again. I did my reset onThursday about 18.30 and when checked this morning 05.55 (24 hour, no pm/am) there was already a double.

Best regards Per Nilsson, Sweden

Hi Everybody

I have noticed a new twist of this tale. If I check my albums that are in a "set" there are no multiples of the album. In my single albums there are four covers counting from last reset.

Are you other HH's having the same experience? Or have I just missed some post concerning this issue?

Best Regards Per Nilsson, Sweden
