I recently downgraded firmware of my 568.2 to 2.12.

I setup a new config from scratch in the Meridian config program.
Now, every time I select a source, it selects the correct codec and input and plays for 5 seconds and then stops. If I change DSP within that source, it does the same thing - plays correctly for 5 seconds and then stops.

This happens regardless of what input, DSP, codec, and source material I am playing. What could I be doing wrong?
