I'm looking for some small size active speakers to have as rears in my system. Something you can put on a little bracket on the wall.

Now I would ideally like the active versions of the Scandyna Micropod SE's to match my centre's but they are just so expensive for what they are and I just can't afford them at the moment.

So I want to consider something else as a stop gap. Looking for idea's? cool

Good God not a chance. I wish!

I should have said a guide cost. Active Micropod SE's are about 300.

So looking to pay half that. I would look for something second hand to achieve that.

Do KEF do any small active speakers?

You really sure you can't stretch to 2nd hand M33s? Used to have 'em. Still miss 'em.

I love M33's but they are just too big frown. Speakers need to be mounted on the wall either side of a sofa. My lounge is fairly small and full of kids things. Would probably need to be less then half the size.

Have you looked on eBay for the current value of kids, just a thought, having a 25 and a 22 year old I can confirm their costs only increase! wink

I often threaten them of that when they behave like animals.

Unfortunately the youngest is so young that when you change his nappy you don't even get the chance to pick him off the mat before he has filled it again.

It's cheaper to run a car then buy nappies for him!!

Whatever happened to Terries? I saw a program recently where boxes of disposable nappies were given to the very poor. Terries last longer, all you have to do is wash them (and dry them). What's the world coming to (how off topic is that!)

I don't think terries would be a good idea. I don't think the washing machine could handle the amount of poo that comes out of my boy. Anyway back on topic. I have to deal with poo everyday I want to talk about hi-fi!! grin

I would suggest looking for PC desktop speakers. They are normally active and small but you may have wierd connections to deal with since most of those have mini-stereo jacks.
I'm sure you would be able to rig something though.
