Can you please tell me how to check which firmware is installed on my HD621. Unlike DSP speakers and 800 series components there is no readout on the unit and I was unable to find it in the configuration program.
Thanks

In the Config program use 'identify' which is in the file menu
Main system - Sources (Kodi-HTPC, Vero 4k, FireTV, Sat) into Trinnov Altitude 32 (8-16) (+Roon), Trinnov Amplitude 8 amp & Vivid Audio (Giya G3, V1.5) and REL Stentor III speakers. Others: F80 + Raspberry Pi and other Pi systems.

Thanks Cliff,
Just purchased the unit NEW a few weeks ago and it reads firmware 1.09.
Does Meridian provide this firmware update for the customer?

See the post on firmware updates above. My advice is to work with your dealer to provide the firmware. Update is a relatively straight forward DIY job.
Edit: given how recently you bought it, I'm a bit surprised your dealer hadn't updated it.
Main system - Sources (Kodi-HTPC, Vero 4k, FireTV, Sat) into Trinnov Altitude 32 (8-16) (+Roon), Trinnov Amplitude 8 amp & Vivid Audio (Giya G3, V1.5) and REL Stentor III speakers. Others: F80 + Raspberry Pi and other Pi systems.

I thought 1.09 was the latest firmware version for the HD621.

Since i'm not using a 3-D projector, is it a beneficial update?

AFAIK 1.1.0 is the latest firmware release for the HD621. Your dealer may be happy to send you the file for a DIY update.

Since i'm not using a 3-D projector, is it a beneficial update? I believe 3D pass-through is the only added benefit of update 1.1.0 so if you have zero interest in 3D you can stick with 1.0.9

Have to confess I didn't notice any difference other than 3D compatibility. That's not to imply there aren't additional improvements.
Have you measured switching time in a controlled, systematic way?
