Although option 3 is not ideal, you are not losing any bass as it's being directed to the sub. I use this X-over in my movie set-up even though my mains are capable of much lower Hz (I want to protect them from potential damage). As a compromise you could reduce the X-over as far as your centre will allow (or get a bigger speaker of course).
