I try to keep away from posting early impressions. I listened to it extensively last weekend but I need to listen to it with a lot of different material this weekend. I will post my review early next week. The review will be using the 818 as a reference Sooloos endpoint.

Mwiebelhaus, did I remember correctly that you might have the hardware to actually compare 818/ID41 with 861v6/ID40 and 808.3/ID40 ? That would be really cool to understand how close or far apart these top tier ID4x solutions are to eachother.
DSP8000SE, DSP7200SEHC, DSP5200SE sides, DSP7200SE rears, 861v8, 210, Sim2 Ultranero 4, Stewart Cinecurve 2.35:1, XEIT CM-5E Anamorphic lens, Dune HD Duo Cinema 8K and Wireworld Platinum 48G HDMI -> UHD722 -> Shunyata Omega Ethernet. Shunyata/Furutech power-cables/filters. SR Master Fuse@861v8. Uptone Etherregen with 10MHz OCXO clock.

I am quite familiar with each of these as I have owned or do now own them all. My upcoming review will touch on all of them.
