M's website appears to have been refreshed (maybe sometime ago) without a lot of Sooloos? Everything now appears to be MDMS?

So is MDMS the new M black?

I will refrain from speculating what the use of the word "media" could mean for the old black smile

I am sure I read somwhere that the Sooloos name is being droped for the Meridian Digital Media System. So I wont be surprised.
Thoughts, Chris smile

No 18 in the Hall of fame smile I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best:
GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

Certainly looks like it, not sure I will miss the Sooloos name much, I always refer to it as a music streamer, as calling it Sooloos generates a "what's that' response from friends.

I always thought it sounded like a laxative, but let's not go there...

Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.

Purdeys, Moke, Leica, 'Blad. Only the best.

And calling it "Meridian" generates something different?

It takes an awful lot of money to establish ANY Brand name in the market......and unless you are BMW / Rolls Royce or Toyota / Lexus, then I think a Company's Marketing budget should focus on getting ONE Name out there in the Marketplace

IMHO, the ONLY real point of having Meridian Car Audio and Meridian F80 equivalents out there is to get the Meridian Brand out there to people who hadn't heard about it before..........so if you're going to spend all the Time and Resources on that, why have an even more obscure name fronting what will be your major Audio range for the next 10 years......i.e. Sooloos

So, I think it makes sound business sense to change the name to Meridian.......and for all its products to benefit from the various "Meridian" marketing / promotion programmes

Just personal opinion, but I've always found the name 'Sooloos' to be deeply unattractive. It's just an unpleasant sort of a word! Sluice! I'm much happier seeing it dropped forever and rebranded as Meridian.

Cheers
