If you want the HD codecs from BD discs, the only way to get them from your current equipment is to use the analogue connections from the Oppo to the G68 (just set up the Oppo for 5.1 output). This will also let you enjoy multichannel SACDs and DVD-As.

It is probably still worth using a coax digital cable from the Oppo to the G68 for DD and DTS from DVDs though, as Meridian's decoding of these formats is very good.
