Internet radio is available now but the listing on the iPad app is just menu text so that picture is just showing that the visuals have changed for the better to make it a better user experience.

Thanks, then I misunderstood one of the common complaints, thinking that it was missing the BBC channels.

Hello Jason

I was not complaining, the new app looks better, just answering Carl when he said Internet radio was available on the C15, but he wasn't sure about other Sooloos that used the iPad for control, he will be ok once he gets his iPad 3 smile

Perhaps not frown

The current iPad has a Screen Res of 1024 by 768, resulting in a 4:3 Aspect Ratio of older TV's

All current iPad Apps are designed around that Aspect Ratio and Res.......as is the new Sooloos App most likely

The iPad 3, which is likely to be announced in Jan, with a March release date is rumoured to have a High Res 16:10 or 16:9 screen

If true, App Designers will need to design their Apps around this, in order to "fill the screen".........as well as optimising to the higher res...........think of those iPhone apps which are screen doubled (and "fuzzy") for an idea of how 'Older" apps might look on the new iPad 3 if it does indeed have a higher res

Reconfiguring apps for the rumoured new screen won't be problem for most App Providers........but it will take companies with less resources time to catch up

Just something to be aware of

Excellent news and well done Meridian ! Get a deal with Apple for some iPads at CES in January and watch those Sooloos Systems fly off the shelves.

At last (for non-Control users) the ability to tweak/groom/edit while listening if necessary and hopefully take advantage of all that hi-res artwork I've had to look for laugh

I look forward to the Android port, but suspect I may be waiting a while.

Android pad market is sort of infinitesimal... But for android phone porting could be realistic.

I'm not sure I see that edit/groom via iPad is included.

Would be nice to know...

Hi Nick
Based on Jason's info above and the Meridian link.........I think Editing is included

Quote
- Swim, Select and Edit modes similar in functionality to those in the Control 15
I'm hoping that the same UI and Functionality as that in the iPad app above is also being carried across into the ControlPC and Mac versions

Things like moving between Browser and App......Copy & Paste.......Typing etc. is lot easier on a laptop (Actual typing on an iPad is fine.....it's the fact that the Screen itself shrinks is what makes Form Text entry a little more difficult)

Just hoping the PC Apps are making the same UI and Functionality leaps

No Global Search buttons..........or Genre, Composer etc. Tabs for quick navigation though

Still........a definite step forward

Great news. The announcement of this app was a major factor in my pulling the trigger on Sooloos and it's good to see M following through with something that is such an improvement over the current app.
