I didn't see this before, but Meridian added a picture of layered screenshots to the news release that include a partially obstructed view of what I think is the Queue screen:
Wouldn't it be nice if they put a button on it to turn off the Meridian processor? As it is now you have to turn off your Sooloos control device or go over to the processor and turn it off. Just a pet peeve but i find it irritating.

I just setup the Apple Remote app on the iPad2 to work with our AppleTV (mk1). (This is with a strong wireless signal and good network between access point and AppleTV.)
It evidently does not cache any cover images. This means on first launching it has no images. It takes some seconds for each page of images to sort itself out: indeed I counted some pages (each 20 covers) taking as much as 10 seconds.
Once they are there, they stay, until the app is closed. Then they all need to be refetched.
This is fine because the AppleTV is a small device (160Gb I think). But in the case of a library of 600 CDs, this could take as much as 5 minutes before all the covers are in the app. And in the case of a library of 6000 CDs (such as mine) it will be 50 minutes.
In other words, if they are not cached the experience will be always one of waiting for images to load as one scrolls through pages or looks at search results.
I hope the forthcoming Sooloos app does better than this. It will be an interesting comparison.
