With this combination, I would also try the same settings of Width = 1.4 and Depth = 1.5............

And then Tweak from there

I might also Try setting the D5K5 as small........just to try it........easy to switch back if you don't like the results

I run exactly what Avii is running. With Width 1.5 (6K's and 5500HC).

You'd swear you're listening to DVDA's when playing many CD's.

P.S. I'm waiting for the spoiler message from, he who must not be named, that your system will catch fire...

If you think listening to music is fun, try learning an instrument.

A lot of variables in the mix here. Will be very interesting to unpick it all...

Would it be ok if we just talk about generations of DSPC in this thread? smile

+3dB with only these DSP modes:
Trifield, Center -2dB, Centre Flat
Cinema
Discrete

All sources go through HD621.

G68+HD621
DSP8k+DSP7.2kHC front
DSP5.2k sides
DSP5k surrounds
Everything is running latest firmware with the exception of DSPC which is running at c00044.

I'd love to. I'm just just setting realistic expectations of what Bo* (oh, I'm mean he who must not be named) will do when he sees us discussing experimenting with DSPC firmware.

By the way, it will say C00044 is not compatible with a G68 or 568 when you flash it.

If your priority is Direct then don't run +3dB.

If your priority is Trifield then +3dB has the same pros and cons it always did.

With the newest firmware + c00044? I don't run Direct in any preset (anymore) so I don't really know.

I think Ronnie was correct with the statement that running Direct is probably best to just run 'Direct' to the DSP speaker with a particular source configured to use SPDIF input 2 of the DSP Speaker.

I would argue there is no law preventing you from flashing and using older firmware on your equipment to your hearts content!

I don't think it's the legality issue that Bo* might have issues with.
