What's the cost of a new HDD for a MC200 going to be in a couple of years time if there is no mechanism to reimage a new drive - I assume that MC200 boots from image on HDD so this would need to be reloaded by someone with ability to reload this image.
The Ensemble boots from EPROM and runs a bespoke version of Busybox Linux
As such, it will continue to act as a "Broker" or Core, even if a Hard Drive isn't actually present
My guess from a few quick looks at the MC200, is that it is also Busybox Linux based and does not require a Hard Drive to boot etc.
