Is Meridian still doing this? I was under the impression it was a limited period offer which expired a long time ago.

I understand this to be the situation.

"The DSP8000 Loudspeakers are guaranteed against defects in material and workmanship for 3 years from the date of purchase, or 6 years if you register your product with Meridian." - from the current user manual.
