What does the edit feature cover exactly? Is this similar to the focus feature?
Sorry for the dumb question... I have not had much experience with the C10/15 interface.

This are really great news! Many thanks for sharing this with us!
By analyzing the screenshots I have the following questions and suggestions:
- Are there album pick stars and set symbols shown on the cover art page? - Where is the search field? Only in the Explore menu? The search field in the current iPad App is perfect, so I hope it will be included somewhere. - At the cover art page it looks like you are able to wipe the albums as you can see a scroll bar at the bottom of the covers, a perfect solution I think! - At the album detail page: -- there is no edit button included, where else should it make sense? -- there is a rating with the number 9 and not stars like in the current Control 15 -- album pick is marked with 'true', there should be a check box or a mark symbol - The volume control buttons should be integrated at the bottom or the top on every page. - The internet radio screen looks very good, only missing the bandwidth.

Enables you to edit all data associated with an album: title, release date, multi-album set, rating, track listing, track ratings, cover art, reviews and other text data, genre, label, tags, moods etc.
Focus uses this metadata to filter albums.

Here's one very brief little thing I picked out from the album art screen shot - the suggestion is that the art does not display page by page, but rather is scrollable all the way through. I'm taking this from the horizontal scroll bar you can see at the very bottom. The Focus at the top says 17 of 17 albums but only 16 albums are viewable at time. So, like most iOS views where more info is available offscreen, you can scroll and the scrollbar is shown so you have a reference of where you are in the "list".
In other words, rather than seeing a page of albums and then have to tap a button to switch to the next or previous page (and have the associated refresh delay) it would seem that all albums are loaded for view in one big page and you just scroll back and forth to navigate through. That would make using the app as fast (or likely even faster) than navigation in the C10/15 in that view mode. It would also suggest that, like Qsonix's new iPad app, all cover art is saved on the iPad rather than reloading images from the server over WIFI each time you had a new set of albums to view. This last point I can't be sure on, but it would make the most sense. If so, that would indeed be very, very good news.

Hi Ronnie, thanks...I'd missed that in my haste to read it.
I wonder if edit will be limited to text edit only (as per C10/15)? Dropping in new artwork for example would be helpful (assume this covers your copy/paste comment also)

Yes...an iPad cache of album art would be preferrable to keep speed high (same as iPeng, Squeezepad, etc IIRC)
The lack of page x of y does suggest a swipe to navigate. Could be very nice as long as album art is quick (as per cache point).
Wonder where Vol + - Mute, skip, pause etc are going to be ?

Wonder where Vol + - Mute, skip, pause etc are going to be ? Queue page perhaps? But it's good to have play controls always visible - I realise it takes up real estate.

This is excellent news, well done M.
I must say, that as the iPad becomes more and more useful as a remote control replacement, I'd love to see full MSR+ functionality replicated there too.

Unfortunately the iPad doesn't have an IR transmitter on it to replace a MSR+

But it can talk to a Sooloos device which has a COMMS port, and can therefore send the information down the COMMS.
