Coming soon - new Meridian Sooloos Core Control App

This information has just been released:

I am delighted to tell you that in January 2012 a brand new Meridian Sooloos Core Control App for iPad will be available, bringing a new level of sophistication and controllability to a Meridian Sooloos system.

The new Sooloos Core Control App will feature:
- a gesture-based graphical browser featuring album cover art and the ability to focus on albums and to view their metadata
- Swim, Select and Edit modes similar in functionality to those in the Control 15
- an Internet Radio channel browser
- Zone linking capability and the ability to transfer play queues between zones

The browser window has two different display modes depending on whether the iPad is being used horizontally or vertically.

The new Core Control App allows a system built around a Media Core 200 or Media Core 600 to be operated almost entirely with the convenience of an iPad in the listening position allowing access to the full, rich Sooloos graphic interface.

The Meridian Sooloos Digital Media Experience will now be even simpler to achieve.

The App will be free to Meridian Sooloos owners via the Apple App store.

Thanks to Meridian Oxford, and good to see Meridian follow through on this.

Can someone confirm my understanding that the BBC Radio channels shown signify something currently unavailable in Sooloos - i.e. that the offering regarding radio streaming is about to improve?

Internet radio, including the BBC, is already available from Sooloos via C15. Others will have to confirm about the other control variants iTouch / iPad.

This is really great to see!!! Been waiting for this since I first got the MC200. Can't wait!

Pat on the back for Meridian and no doubt this will help dealers recruit new Meridian customers.
