I too am deeply distressed at the prospect of packing up my 861, 6K's and 5K and sending them 600KM away to another island to get my "free upgrade"

As with previous firmware updates from Meridian, existing owners stand to gain more than anyone else as the new features and improved performance are made available free of charge."

My only other option is seemingly getting the dealer to come travel to me (months later), meaning a flight and travel for less than an hours work. Utterly ridiculous and completely at odds with the message of updates made available free of charge.

I'm awaiting a response on how I may be able to resolve this, any pointers welcome as I'm keen to here the improvements on the upgradeable Meridian products that I bought.
