Anyone have any comments on Queen's 2011 remastered versions?
I'm looking for xmas ideas and I have the choice between the triple disk greatest hits that appears to be available in both versions. As I already have disk 1 of the original greatest hits, I thought that the remastered version would be a good alternative.

Beware remastered versions generally. I bought a few and found that they all be turned up and compressed. Quite disappointed so stopped buying them.

I bought Marillions first 2 albums which had been remastered and can hear the difference in quality but I also bought some Rainbow CDs and couldnt hear any difference.

Time to dust off Sting's "Nothing Like the Sun", but I had it on cassette and SWMBO's CD has gone AWOL.
Does anyone know if the remastered version is ok?

You may already have a taste from "Plus 4"........but search out some more Clifford Brown as well

One of us should move these posts to the right place Done. Thanks for the link, though that box set is not an amalgam of the "Four Classic Albums" series.
