Carl,
Ok. Yes you do not want to have to power down the C15 every time you want to put the processor in standby mode but surely it can't be that complicated to figure out a way to put the processor in Standby without powering down of C15??? A lot of dumber systems than Meridian do this......

I am particularly pleased with the improvement to Stereo and Direct. I never used the +3dB tweak. There used to be a rather large difference in sound between the two. Stereo was softer with a smaller soundstage compared to Direct. Now they are much closer together as I would have expected. My dealer is still waiting for the cable to update the SL speakers. It should be sometime this week.

Regards,
Bill

You can use an AC11 to update SL speakers. Check if your dealer knows this.

Good to know but my dealer doesn't have one. M is sending him a cable to get it done. If anyone is making an appointment with their dealer, make sure they are equipped to do your SL DSP speakers.

My firmware is upgraded on my V6 and I do not notice any difference with my analog setup. If there is it is slight.

Not being able to go back to the previous version means that I am trusting my memory though.

Just to be sure I have the latest firmware version , my v6 displays 6.03.

Try switching between direct and Trifield - No drop in dB now wink

I still find Trifield louder than direct.

According to Rhonda Wilson at HH2, power is not preserved across the front three speakers in Trifield vs. Direct/Stereo.

Well 3 speakers vs 2 speakers. But now 2 speakers have +3dB and Trifield do not.

My dealer have upgraded all Non-SL speakers and G68 so far. So only the 7200HC is not upgraded.

Agreed. It's impossible to know whether Rhonda was talking theoretically or not when she made that statement. Maybe one of us should call tech support to ask. Oh, we can't...

We also do not KNOW what Meridian have done with Trifield........and Yes, I've read the Release Notes

And we certainly don't know what the Output levels in the Front L&R Are in Trifield.....the +3DB Tweak is one thing......what Meridian have chosen to do is quite another.......let's not mix them up

Direct should now be 3dB louder if they did what I think they did.

The only proper way to compare is config system for just 2 speakers then compare Trifield with meter playing pink noise.
