Just moved house. First attempt to set-up my gear.

That wall is screaming out for a big projector screen...

Hi,

This is my living room after the renovation.
The next project is a linear PSU for my G68.

Here's my setup then. Rather modest by some of the standards on here!

[Linked Image]

I've had the 5500s for a decade or so (18 bit jobs) but the 5000C for only a few weeks; I bought it from GMT on here.
We watch a lot of films (~ 5 a week) so the 21:9 TV is great for that as it does away with black lines top & bottom, unless it's a super-widescreen format.

We sit about 3 metres from the speakers with the rear wall a metre or so behind us. We're moving to Italy at some point and the room there will be about 35% bigger.

Upgrade path?
1) Projector probably.
2) Some 24 bit mains I think. I'd love some 7200s but would be happy with some piano black 5500s.
3) 861 and Sooloos to replace the G91.
4) 5500HC.
5) Some rears, probably some 5200s.

Nice...a very clean and elegant look!

Do you have extra bracing in your Ikea Rack to take the weight? I have one, and the plasma has caused bowing of the unit. I'm thinking of taking the legs off so that the entire length has floor support. The two metal uprights should keep the top shelf straight.

Cheers

Not'arf - Can't help being a BASS head smile Not needed for most the stuff I listen to but 100% need it for dubstep/dnb.

Mr Meridian - Currently got the 2 metal supports which came with the unit in the middle, the amp is roughly 30kg but the stand is doing fine, your plasma must be pretty damn heavy.

from that angle the DSP7200s look huge - I thought they were DSP8000s at first.

Me too, but that would be the wideangle lens...

Lovely picture Edwin, you know how to take a moody sophisticated photo!

Cheers
