I used this power supply. Almost the same size, Same pin out. 826-NLP65-7608J A Vender http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail...ZMuEhFEw3BeJbeGMVwFWwUtAMiMXcW%2fwzgc%3d Data Sheet https://www.powerconversion.com/assets/nlp65_ds_1216436331.pdf You had to shorten the standoffs in the cage. I used a large drill bit to bring them down. And I had to ream out the holes in the power supply just a tad. No pin out change. It seemed to work fine, except the old power supply took out a couple boards with it. So I had to send it in. It ended up with a "Meridian" power supply. So I can't fully qualify this power supply works well.

Yeah, but I don't have it. I did take a peek but they put a new smaller cage around it and I wasn't about to start taking it that far apart. Sorry. Maybe someone knows it. I expect it's the same one in new shipping G68's. It may be the one you used and it is smaller.

The problems that I had with a G68ADV spitting through it's analogue outputs were reported back as being because the nominal 5.0V output was too low and that it should be set to at least 5.1V. Seems it is: http://www.xppower.com/pdfs/SF_ECM40-100.pdf

I have a friend with a G98 with a failing power supply.
Is it a similar procedure to replace the supply in the G98?

Was there a model number on the new "Meridian" power supply installed in your G68? The current power supply for the G68 is an XP Power ECM40UT31. The original power supply was a Universal Microelectronics UP0653S-01. The XP Power supply may very well be more reliable, but it is also has a lower power rating, runs considerably hotter, and IMO sounds significantly worse. FWIW. Bryon

G68 mods... Custom power supply, Audiocom Superclock 4, Rubycon capacitors, WBT Nextgen connectors, ultra low noise op amps, analog output buffer, DSPC c00044, Revelation One filter.
