I think it's still one of the widely-recognised great yardsticks, especially as a simple stereo pre-amp. It was the best stock processor I ever heard at the time, and hard to fault, but that was before I got any Meridian processors. I think I preferred it to the G68, especially with analogue inputs, but I've moved on a bit since then. I wouldn't have one now, but it was the one to beat.
