I'm trying to stay focused on fiddling so I don't plan to post much but I have been reading now and then. I wanted to share my experience with Marc's new Repair shop. My G68ADV finally had its turn at blowing out the power supply. I replaced the power supply myself and all the appropriate caps. It came to life but no sound. Something else was very wrong. So I contacted Marc and he said he can work on anything out of warranty. He will work with Meridian as needed and did in my case. It's working perfect now. I don't want to quote prices, please don't ask by PM but the price was very fair. And the service was top notch. I would not hesitate working with Marc for anything out of warranty. I hope you won't need him, but if you do, he's the first guy to call. I'd highly recomend someone add his company to the Wiki. Marc's Contact info. I think its great that we have this resource available to us in the US. But I'm kinda surprised Meridian are willing to work in partnership with Marc, as he appears to be a direct competitor to their own service dept. Are they hoping and encouraging Marc to take over all out of warranty repairs? Just an odd situation since parts are unavailable for purchase directly from Meridian.

Can't speak for others, but I suspect many are very glad to see George's return. His advice has helped me directly and his overall comments (and efforts) have made this forum a great learning center. I also recommend Marc Koval as a real standup guy based on past help he provided thru my dealer. I don't need repair service now but I've got his name and number on file for when I do. JimK

My 800 has now slipped out of warranty, and given the frequency with which it vacationned in Atlanta, I imagine taking advantage of The Repair Shop in due course.

another positive review for Marc Koval's "The Repair Shop".
Marc expertly diagnosed a very serious motherboard issue with my B-stock Control:10 (it would overheat and blue-screen , eventually the XP install became corrupted by the frequent reboots) . I shipped it to Marc, and he worked with Meridian-USA to replace the motherboard (unfortunately back-ordered, of course) and cleaned up, and fixed my Control:10.
I strongly recommend Marc's repair services, and wish him much continued success with his new company.
