For MRC, all you need is an SPL meter that's consistent.

In the states, the Radio Shack SPL meter, which goes for about US$35 (20 lbs, give or take) works perfectly for MRC...

As long as it produces consistent readings you'll be ok as well, I used the same meter when I had the 568.2 [Linked Image from softronix.com]
