Mine works fine with dual subs running from the 568.2mm off of the 5/6. That said, I am using the Meridian firmware v2.12. I have 5 DSP33s and 2 D1500 subs. When I tried to use it with 2.5b9 the 568 just didn't work [Bad Software errors]. After a week of messing around with this task I am convinced this is a 2.5b9 problem.

A referral from Mr. Meridian to a Meridian expert convinced me that for my needs, the 2.5b9 was no benefit. I'm now after a HD621 to complete my set up.

Hallelujah! I seem to have two working subs.

The only difference in the setup vs my original post is that the subs are set to max in Legacy Config Program and have stayed like that when I went back to check it after uploading - on re-reading Bayetta's posts I tried closing the windows back to the processor level before sending, maybe this made the difference.

I'll try calibrating it all over the next few days. Now is not the best time as it's late & my ears are full of water after a swim. The manual says to set the gain on the back of the subs to min - is this correct? I would have thought it would be set to max and the level set by the 568.

I would like to understand what all the options do in the sub menu - for example with one sub what is the difference between mono & centre, if set to LFE does music bass all go to the other speakers? Likewise what is happening with the three dual sub options.

Hi Nick,

Bayetta asked similar questions; my advice to him was to, just for illustration purposes, configure your system into the Mconfig but select a G68 (as the 568 is not supported).

Then you can play with speaker and sub setting and see what the bass management system is doing visually, with respect to re-routing the bass.

Once your have it sorted in your head what does what; go back to the legacy configuration program, back fit the changes as required, and load into your 568.

Regards,
Carl
