I second Rob Hunt's point (and those expressed earlier) that speakers are the most subjective component and you really must listen to see what you like. No amount of technical/marketing papers justifying one line of reasoning would sway me without this personal test.

I don't particularly care for the sound signature of Meridian speakers, however, this doesn't mean that they are poor technically. I went for my ATC SCM system because I went to the factory, listened to them and decided afterwards.
