Hi All,

I was wondering if there would be any interest in us supplying Meridian SpeakerLink cables in custom lengths?

At present these are only available in 'stock' .5, 1, 5, 10 and 15 metres as pre-terminated by Meridian.

I wouldn't be able to go longer than 15 metres as the cable isn't available off the drum, but could supply say 2m lengths to allow HD621 to connect the 861v6 where 1m is too short and 5m is not necessary.

I don't know that this would be any cheaper than the 5m as there are parts and labour involved in making the terminations, but some may prefer not having the untidy spare cable lying around.

Just gauging the interest..

This sounds like a good idea Rick, you could also offer a repair service for when the RJ45 retaining clip snaps off.

I too enquired about longer lenghts of SpeakerLink cable either made-up or on the drum. 15 Metres is just too short esp. when routing cables though walls etc.

I've scoured the internet looking for a 3rd party supply of the same cable that Meridian use.

One of the holdups to my rack mounting project is the lengths available are basically ' in room ' size and not much use if you'd like to keep the TwinStore away from the listening area .

Nice idea for a service though , Rick , it would help tidy up the ' spaghetti ' look of a lot of systems and be quite cost effective .

Up to .5 Metre £ 50.00
.5 to 1 Metre 65.00
1 to 5 Metre £ 90.00
5 to 10 Metre £125.00
10 to 15 Metre £150.00

Price to include postage to UK address
Nominal additional fee for postage abroad
(To be discussed at the time)

Retermination Fee of existing cables (as Carl's suggestion) £10 per end to include return postage.

The plugs aren't identical to the origionals but very similar.
