I wonder if the ID40 will take 192 or will it be capped at 96?

Fantastic news The update worked perfectly on the Control 15, now playing 24/192 through the NAD M2... and it sounds good to me!! My M2 does not display the sample rate of my Sooloos Reading this it appears yours does. Am I correct?

Mine flashes up the sample rate at the start of a track if the sample rate is different to that of the previous track... I'm inputting on AES via MSL (on a custom Levinson cable)
Bet it sounds good on the Sasha's...

After installing the update; I checked the [C15 - setup - ] devices - zone menu. These is still just the one option of "Limit Digital Audio to x1 sample rate"
Now that there is 192 KHz support, I would have expected more control on the output. e.g. A max output rate.
If one has some 192 Khz FLACs but only a 96K DAC connected one would wish the Sooloos to downsample to 96K, not all the way down to 48K!!
Regards, Carl

Bet it sounds good on the Sasha's... I'm on SPDIF through the MS600 I get no indication of sample rate And yes the Sasha's are very good!

"That's good; sounds like it is a great well timed update for you. Cool"
It is Carl - I'd been tipped off that it was coming any day, hence I took the plunge with the purchase...
Very happy so far with the interface, very clever!
I need to squeeze a better digital out from the Control 15 (my preference over buying another box and introducing networking)
I've been speaking to some companies behind the scenes to see what may be possible. I'm hoping Paul Miller will run it on his test rig again once any work has been done - would be nice to see a before and after...
I know it shouldn't affect a SMPS but the Control sounds "better" (different) getting it's mains via the Powerplant Premiere than direct from the wall. Don't know why, it just does...

Where do I find this on my Control 15? I've selected zone menu, selected "Control 15" and I get only basic crossfade and volume equalising options. Confused...

Hi Pers I've accessed the zone menu through both of the routes you mentioned and I still only get the basic crossfade / volume options. The same through the ControlPC interface too...

Ahh I have three zones - the first is the stand alone Control 15 and the other two are laptops running the ControlPC.
Do I need to install the Meridian system config? Does that software (I remember it from my G68 days)speak to the Control 15?

Dpaws,
You need to be in the Device manager menu as PerS1 suggests, not the Zone menu you refer to.
Go to 'System Settings' then 'Devices' (bottom left of the popup.) Select OK to proceed and you will see the Device Manager menu.
Your Control 15 should be show here, with 'Zone' underneath. Press 'Zone' and you should find the 'x1' option you're after.

Hi Rick,
With the advent of 192K support, it is this 'x1' Sample Rate option that does not offer enough control anymore. It should have been updated to be a x1, x2 or x4 Sample Rate option; with the Sooloos up or down sampling the native rate as required for that zone.
However, more important to us 'loyal' Meridian owners is when can we feed our Meridian DACs within our Meridian processors and Meridian DSP Speakers with 192Khz signals.
Perhaps you would be so kind as to pass this feedback to Meridian.
