It just didn't make a noticable difference in our room which coincided with M's statement that he didn't use many filters. That is the characteristic of the automatic mode. I appreciate that others and other rooms could be a very different story. I have never seen a good measuring room, there is always at least one culprit, but mostly more than one.

room eq isn't my priority, i have a room with a lightweight acoustic treatment. nobody told me if the 568.2mm has apodizing filter (i know that upsample the incoming signal to 24/96). now i have 4/4500 euro. if i buy a 861 i use almost all the budget.
my big question is: the differences, using the DSP loudspeakers, between 568 + HD621 and 861 are significant?
thanks
Andrea

568.2 with 3 x DSP5000 24/96 and a pair of DSP33s will keep you at your 4000 budget and get you the best bang for the buck too.
You still have analogue amps and speakers you could then sell to add an HD621 into the system and you are ready to go.
No Darling, I've had it months!

If you mean only one discreet multi channel MHR Smartlink inputs, then yes, the 568.2mm only has the one VGA style input.
The other digital inputs also accept MHR, but these are not multi channel as they are regular digital coax inputs which support the MHR encryption. MHR is simply an encrypted form of PCM.

Yes, 568.2MM has only one SmartLink input, which is I think what you mean. (MHR isn't an input, it's the encoding used on that input, others, and on the outputs to DSPs.)
You need an 861 or a G-series processor to get two SmartLink/multichannel digital inputs.

Depending upon your sources, an HD621 would allow you to take multiple HDMI to the 568.2mm's Smartlink input.
Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.
Purdeys, Moke, Leica, 'Blad. Only the best.

Depending upon your sources, an HD621 would allow you to take multiple HDMI to the 568.2mm's Smartlink input. ...and really the only plausible reason to use two Smartlink inputs (AFAICS), is if you have an HD621 and want to run a Meridian DVD-A player at the same time.

I can't remember if the component switching in the 562V.3 can pass digital signals. If so, it could act as a switcher.
